What is SASA?

The Student Activities Safety Association (SASA) is an organization comprising of the safety officers from several universities, representatives from student unions, FE colleges, self-employed involved in outdoor activities, and independent representatives from national governing bodies throughout the UK. We aim to help all students go about their activities in a safe manner.

SASA Meetings

SASA shall hold 3 meetings per year at various venues around the country with an AGM being held in the early part of the year. Click Here for Meeting Dates and Venues

 
SASA Committee

SASA is run by volunteers from the SASA membership who are voted into office at the Annual General Meeting. Anybody who is a member of SASA is able to be considered for the position of Chairman/Coordinator, Treasurer, Secretary or Committee Member. Any nominations should be put forward at the AGM. SASA Funding

Here you will find information about SASA Funding, what it can be used for and how to apply.

What is the funding available for? The funding is for subsidizing courses/workshops/videos etc. that will benefit the membership and adhere to the aims and objectives of the association.

Who can apply for funding?Anyone can apply for funding.

How do you apply for funding?Complete the Student Activities Safety Association Funding Request Application form and return it to the Treasurer at the given address or by Email Treasurer.

When will your application be processed?Applications will be processed by the committee at the next available committee meeting. The treasure will contact within a week of the committee to let you know if your application has been successful.
